The Marshall Area Fastpitch Softball Association is committed to providing the skills necessary to be a successful athlete, teammate, student, and community member. We strive to provide all players with a safe and competitive environment that fosters positive self-esteem and individual growth through personal achievement and team play. 

MAFSA is an organization located in Marshall, Minnesota focused on educating young athletes the sport of fastpitch softball. We offer a summer league for girls ages 5-18, as well as clinics, camps, and other opportunities throughout the year.

2026 PARENT MEETING

WHEN = MONDAY, JANUARY 26TH

WHERE = HIGH SCHOOL MEDIA CENTER

TIME = U10 & U12 @ 5:30PM, U14 & U16/18 @ 6:30PM

U6-U8 Junior Softball (K - 2nd grade)= In-House Softball from early June through the middle of July. Practices are two times a week and will play 3-4 in-house games. Registration will be through the City of Marshall. 

U10 - have the option to play on a Recreational Team or a Travel Team from the middle of May to the middle of July. Both Recreational and Travel teams will participate in the Prairie League and have weeknight games in Marshall and surrounding communities. The Travel team will participate in three weekend tournaments - ONLY ONE of those tournaments will be out-of-town and it will be a one day tournament, the other two tournaments are in Marshall. 

U12 - will play on a travel team. There will be two travel teams this summer - Orange Travel Team and Black Travel Team. The Orange Travel team will participate in the Southern Star League. The Black Travel Team will participate in the Prairie League. There will be evaluations to determine which team the player will participate on. The summer season will go from beginning of May to the middle of July.   Both  travel teams will participate in 3-4 weekend tournaments. 

U14 - play traveling softball from the end of May to the middle of July. The traveling team will participate in the Southern Star League and play weeknight games in Marshall and throughout southwest MN. Evaluations will be held for the 14s level. The travel team will participate in 4 weekend tournaments. 

U16/18 - play traveling softball from early June (depending on when HS season ends) to the middle of July. The traveling team will participate in the Southern Star League and play weeknight games in Marshall and throughout southwest MN. The travel team will participate in 4-5 weekend tournaments. 

Parents are required to volunteer for 4 hours for each player.  More information to come.
